Do you give feedback to FSBO'S?

By
Real Estate Agent with REMAX of Joliet
We've all shown buyers homes that are listed on the MLS but are with a company that you pay a flat fee to list for you BUT the seller is doing all the work. Do you give feedback to those sellers? I showed a house last week and recognized the company name on the MLS and called and spoke to the agent and schedule the showing. When I showed the home I knew it was a flipped out from a foreclosure or something. Everything was new but I could see some details that should have been improved on. When the seller called 2 days later and asked for feedback, I felt strange about it. Do you give feedback go "fsbo's"?

I think it is important to provide feedback to fsbos for several reasons. Firstly conducting yourself farily and appropriately when provided such an oppurtunity will help build your reputation. Secondly building as reputation among fsbos creates a good word of mouth campaing that can increase your business dramatically. Your fsbo will tell their friends and if the impression was impressive enough they will in turn recomend you to theirs.

Finally one should never underestimate the strength and versatility provided by a solid repuation spread by word of mouth. That repuation coupled wit other markeitng iniatives can generate a great deal of business for you and your firm.

I give feedback to anyone who asks for it. As bluntly and pointedly as I can, for their benefit.

I do not give client feedback though- unless my clients have specifically given me permission about what to say. I just give my own agent-eye feedback.

LaNita, I give feedback to every house I show.  I even give feedback to listings that I preview, expecially if I find something that is amiss.  I figure I will have to work with these folks eventually, why not make an ally right from the start.  If a FSBO is nice enough to let you show their house, only seems fair to give them some feedback.
