Don't miss the Lakefront Festival of Arts - This is one that I won't miss this year!!
Great food, live music and a chance to mingle with the fine artists - that's just the start of what you'll see at the lakefront event that starts Milwaukee's summer out right! Each year this attracts about 50,000 people.
The event showcases sculpture, jewelry, wood, photography, printmaking, paintings, ceramics and fiber and more.
Over 170 exhibits to see!
Friday, June 20, 12-8 p.m.
Saturday, June 21, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
Sunday, June 2, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
The featured exhibits include "in-tents art" -- 172 unique galleries housed in tents -- Here guests can chat one-on-one with the artists. The college arts show presented by area college students check out the fiber art fashion show -- a moving exhibit -- with models walking the grounds wearing featured artists' jackets, vests, scarves and other unique fiber art fashions.Founded in 1957, Friends of Art raises more than $400,000 each year for the Art Museum through events such as the Lakefront Festival of Arts.

Money raised at LFOA and other FOA events is contributed to the museum's Art Acquisition and Exhibition Fund.
Admission is $10, with a "special" $8 admission fee on Friday only. Children 16 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Special LFOA advance tickets are available for only $7 at a variety of Milwaukee area locations or at mam.org.
