PC...Political Correctness...Or...Personal Computing???

Oh, how the English language gets us into trouble!!!

On the political scene right now there is all kind of jockeying going on to select a suitable running mate for candidates of both major political parties!!!

If our Country wasn't in such dire straights economically, spiritually, and politically, I would be laughing my arse off!!!

Both parties are searching for the most inclusive specimen who can straddle as many 'minority' bases as possible!

If you can find a black, female, non-heterosexual, younger, democrat leaning, somewhat liberal but non committing, pacifist, environmentalist candidate...call John McCain's headquarters!

On the other hand, if you know of a military professional, preferably female, non black Christian, wishy washy on abortion rights, older, republican leaning (only slightly, or apparently), with no connections to Islam at all...Barack Obama is your man!!!

What ever happened to selection committees who set out to find the best candidate available to serve our blessed republic...a heartbeat away from the Presidency!!!

This is serious stuff, folks, in serious times...

We need to study, pray, discern, and hold to the highest standards all political candidates...this is really personal computing!

Washington can no longer be a seed ground for crafty political egomaniacs who will say whatever is necessary to get elected then carry out their own selfish political agendas!

If you don't think this post is real estate related, you are precisely who I'm targeting to reach by this post!

Politicians are like many Realtors.  Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I know who I think I will vote for to be the leader of the country.  I hear people complain that they do not like either canidate every 4 years.  I hear the same stuff in local elections.  I used to complain myself during my time as a Government employee.  I complained about the union dues.  The fact was I was going to pay the dues regardless.  I was then reminded that I was a member yet had NEVER been to a meeting or participated in the Organization.  WOW a slap in my face.  I went to a meeting, and at the end held a few elected positions.  One person made a difference.

A canidate is looking for support from millions of people from every demographic.  There is no one canidate fits all.  Its a long, hard, expensive battle to be elected.  I applaud anybody that would feel the need to serve so strongly to endure such a battle.

Don't agree with the politicians running?  Run yourself.  I would bet you would find out that its not as easy as you think.

Just my 2 cents

They provide plenty of fodder for political cartoonists, that is for sure.

This craziness has been going on for a long time... but this cycle seems especially focused on balancing out the perfect PC Veep... I'm not usually a proponent of doom and gloom during election cycles, but this one is just a doozie.

I had a great candidate in mind..... but he declined- Right, Fran????  :0 I think it is becoming increasingly apparent that you are going to have to run, Fran- Like I said we will get you front row seats to the Phillies in the World Series- aw heck we will get you season front row seats- we will even have you throw out every first pitch- Sorry just had to throw in a little humor.  This was getting depressing. I thought we should lighten the thread a little.

Should I order the Fran the Man For President- buttons?

Fran- Ok you are right (but than again righteous is what we need)

I'm for family, friends, fun, freedom, fidelity, forthrightness, etc..  Sounds like the perfect slogan- "Fran and his 6 F Words!"

Have a great day, buddy, and try not to stress too much over the election... I love Hugh's idea- Let's make it through this election- on our knees, praying for family, friends, fun, freedom, fidelity, forthrightness, etc.. ( and guidance)

Fran- we had a great family dinner tonight at a favorite Italian Restaurant and of course the topic turned to the election- My daughter made the best point yet, " there are 300,000,000 people in the United States- And the best we could do is these two....."  When you put it in simplistics such as that ... man, it stings. This is our best of the best..... OUCH!

I think we are too caught up now with how a politician looks, how old they are, who they dated or who they haven't rather than what they can do for the country. Like you implied, the person with the most middle of the road attitude wins!

We need to go back to what they can do for the country instead of looking for stuff in their closet that has nothing to do with politics.

Fran:  I totally agree.  I do not particularly want to give my vote to either candidate or party.  I am so sick of the two parties inability tpo work together and get something donw for the country. Preferabley here, help manufacturer survive in the USA, educate the children, stop sending all our money elsewhere.
