Blog carnival for AR Members

Education & Training with ActiveRain

A couple days ago, Jim Cronin the blogger behind the Real Estate Tomato made a post outlining a blog carnival of sorts he is running for ActiveRain members only.  The basic idea is that he wants ActiveRain members to write an article about successes they've had through blogging and he'll highlight the best examples on his blog.  This article may reside on either you ActiveRain blog or your personal blog.  It's a great way to get some additional exposure for yourself, ActiveRain and real estate blogging in general.

We've also agreed to award points 400 points to members for entries that make it on his top 10 list.

Jim does a much better job of describing what he's doing than I would, so here's what he says...

The Real Estate Tomato is looking for examples of your success through blogging.  We will be holding a Carnival of Blogging Success  - available to ActiveRain members only.

What's a Carnival?
Wikipedia defines a Blog Carnival as: A blog article that contains links to other articles covering a specific topic. Most blog carnivals are hosted by a rotating list of frequent contributors to the carnival, and serve to both generate new posts by contributors and highlight new bloggers posting matter in that subject area.

Unlike most Carnivals, this one is meant to be held once as an introduction to the benefit of real estate blogging and Blog Carnivals themselves.

What exactly am I looking for?
I want AR members to submit an article describing their success through blogging.
Examples of content:
Testimonials of how blogging has helped you generate leads you wouldn't have otherwise generated without your blog.
How your blogging has incubated leads through the education and relationship with your audience.
How blogging has lead to greater exposure, hence snowballing into greater opportunity and success.
The contrast of success in relation to blogging vs pre blogging.
Or any topic relevant to the core: How has blogging made you more successful as a professional in the real estate industry?

If you haven't yet experienced the rewards of blogging, this Carnival should be a great inspiration to you to either 'catch the bug' or to just keep posting.

The mission behind the Carnival is two fold:
    1.  To showcase and celebrate the successes of those that have earned our praise.
    2.  To illustrate to those that are just starting to pick up on the phenomenon of blogging, that it is a very effective means of emarketing that shouldn't be sloughed off as wasted effort, unheard ramblings, futile, unnecessary and narcissistic.

All entries will be reviewed and considered for the Carnival, but we will be showcasing only the top 10 articles. If there is an overwhelming response of great content we will have an 'honorable mentions' list as well.  The Top 10 will be announced on AR, as well as on the Tomato.  If you would like to have your article link back to your personal blog and/or your AR blog, you will need to post the article there first, and submit the Permalink (article's URL) to me for consideration.  Thousands will be seeing your article if it makes the Top 10, making it a great way to gain some exposure and readership to your blog.  So let's get fired up!

The Carnival of Blogging Success will be held on Monday, September 4th at 9AM PST.  Strict Deadline for entries is MIDNIGHT, Friday, Sept 1st.

To submit your article on Blogging Success, simply email me at: mailto:realestatetomato@gmail.com?subject=Blogging Success Article
Include:
1.  Link to your Profile on AR (This is an exclusive carnival for AR members only)
2.  Link to your Article. (Or entire article if no link available).
3.  Name as you would like it to appear with article.
4.  Please proofread and spell check all articles; it's the little things one over looks that get's one overlooked.

I am looking forward to reading so much good news.  As one who is passionate about helping those in the RE industry more successful, it will be a joy to learn of your experiences.

Thanks for your submission,

Jim Cronin
