I was on line at Pasadena Now.com yestarday and came across this article... http://www.pasadenanow.com/_News/publish/article_2475.html

It noted that the Altadena NAACP is offering two scholarships of $1,000 each to 2008 graduates who are planning on entering or who are already enrolled in college or a trade school in the Fall. The scholarships are named after 2 prominent women, Ms. Anthony (Tony) Stewart and Ms. Rosa Parks.  I know who Rosa Parks is (who doesn't?)...but, who is Ms. Anthony (Tony) Stewart???  I'll have to do a bit of research...hmmmmmmmmmmm...

For an application for the scholorships, call (626) 794-7999 or go tot he Altadena Community Center at 730 E Altadena Drive to obtain one.  The application deadline is Friday, August 15th.
