The city of Coral Springs received on April 23, 2008 the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the first state in the country to be awarded this outstanding award. Our President Bush, himself, congratulated our City Manager Michael S. Levinson, our Mayor Scott J. Brook, and Vice Mayor Vincent M. Boccard at the White House for meeting the standards required to receive this extraordinary award.
The City's history of having customer satisfaction goes back 15 years, when the city made sure they followed all requirements for this award. Coral Springs set their goal to providing the best in class services to all its residents and businesses at the most lowest price possible. The taxes in the city of Coral Springs remain low, giving the residents who live here more money in their pocket and more property for their bucks.
The city goes by a motto, "If the City doesn't get the results it wants, it continues to learn, retool and improve for the benefit of our residents and businesses."
Since Coral Springs is first to receive this award we set a foundation for other cities to live up to our standards.
