Is real estate really a good investment?

Now that I've got your attention I want to know what you think. According to LaVaughn Henry, renowned housing expert, buying a home is the best investment for just about every American. Personally, I think that LaVaughn ooozes wisdom in this short video, but what's your take? This video was from the NAHREP national convention in Orlando.

Aida, thanks for the comment. LaVaughn Henry is the Director of Economic Analysis for the PMI group. I have heard him speak a couple times and met him in Washington DC and he is a good guy that knows his stuff.
