It's Easy We All Falter....Does It Matter?

By

Two days ago my daughter (a military dependent) took me to the The NEX Shopping Plaza - Pearl Harbor- Hawaii.

On the way I asked her to stop at the Navy Exchange Pet Store. I thought there might be yet another toy (baby) my English Cocker Spaniel Shadow might like.

I immediately looked around for room they would have doggies and saw the room with the glass door and windows. Lo and behold -I saw little fur balls running around back and forth.

They were Bichon Frise puppies. Balls of fur playfully scampering around and wrestling with each other. I could have stayed glued to that glass just watching the innocense of few week old puppies.

~~~~~~~~~~
Then I saw something out of the corner of my left eye and this cute little guy walked right up to the glass so I could take his picture. A part fox terrier pup all by his lonesome......
He then turned around to watch the two little Bichon's barking in their little puppy voices while 'attacking' each other.
He went over to see if he could join in the fun and one of the Bichon's was trying to get his chubby little body under a cage.
The little fox terrier was watching the Bichon wiggle and squirm ....shucks...stuck. The little butt was wiggling back and forth to try and wiggle backwards...the way it went in.
Finally the fox terrier turned his attention to the 'free puppy'. He ran over to play and jumped in the corner to wrestle and play.
Somehow it ended up way in the corner with the Bichon trying to get ahold of his wagging tail.
What a site!
Precious Moments.
Fragile, innocent and carefree
Funny how my life gets so busy at times that these moments stop me in my tracks. What a wonderful reminder about the little things in life that remind me to take a few moments to enjoy.
What a cute story.  My kids are good at keeping me grounded and remembering that there are fun, carefree moments to be enjoyed with child like delight.
Christine: Lucky you! Mine grew up...are adults...and show up around lunchtime for a free meal lol!  Just kidding. They still keep me grounded.....and keep reminding me how I pay more attention to blogging than quality time with them. (like they show me the time of day right?)
Sally- How adorable those pups are......your message that it is the little things that make a difference, that give us pleasure, is right on.  Spending even 20 minutes just enjoying watching those pups play is 20 minutes well spent :)
Sally, I don't dare go near puppy stores or adoption places--more then a few times I've come home with a new family member I wasn't expecting :)
Very cute...I'm not sure if I'll get another dog when Rosce passes. It's way too stressful right now but I'm tempted...I need to hire a dog sitter.
Morning Sally,
Nice presentation and wonderful pictures of those lil pups. Makes me want to go out and by one for myself. Thankfully reality of a busy business and home life will safe the pups from our empty home.
My Zoey is part Bichon and part Shihtzu. The Bichon is very intelligent (and if I do say so, Zoey is very smart) and the Shihtzu is such a sweet loving breed (again, Zoey got the best of that as well). Both breeds are excellent companion dogs! And neither shed! Yay!
Hal: Our dog is sure a joy in our household. The love that comes from them always lights up a life.
Kelly: With the Shihtzu mix your puppy is soooo cute! I think I'd like a mix too. With pure bred dogs they always have something wrong with all the inbreeding.
Sally, it is so nice to slow down and see something so cute. I have to include pictures of my companions, Peanut and Gracie. Peanut is a minature poodle and perfect, Gracie is a loving Shi-tzu and hard headed. Thanks for your post. Oh, btw, the kids are my great grand children, the lady is my daughter.
Sally this seems like the type of thing that could keep you occupied for hours.  You better watch out Randy might get one of these little guys for the office to occupy your attentions and keep you from scoring so many points on ActiveRain ......... LOL
