Here's another funny

Yes, it's me again. I always have the strangest things happen to me!!!  It was late in the afternoon and I was fixing dinner for my fur babies. My oldest aussie, Stormy, is terrified of storms and is a closet troll, that's were she hangs out all the time now.  Anyway, of course she was hiding in the closet and I had put the other dogs in my sunroom so I could fix their dinner without them driving me nuts. So I finish their dinners and step into my sunroom to hopefully gain control of the mob so they would not kill each other rushing through the door. I stepped into the sunroom and look around at everybody and there is a malamute, a catahoula and 2 aussies standing there looking at me.

Okay, I have 1 malamute, 1 catahoula and 2 aussies...remember I said my 1 aussie was in the house hiding in my closet. I step back in my kitchen and kind of look around, walked to my bedroom and checked on the status of Stormy, just making sure she is where she usually is. I walk back into the kitchen thinking I must have counted wrong or was just having one of my dizzy spells. I step back into the sunroom and recount and sure enough I had an extra aussie, I kind of start laughing to because nobody was going to believe an extra dog just appeared IN my house. Since I was a little girl in the 1st grade I have been bring strays home with me and NOW they are just showing up? I got everyone in the house, each in front of the own food dish and I start the survey of the little solid black aussie.

Thank goodness she had a collar on with the vets name on it, so I called them to have them call the owners. When the owners came to pick her up they told me she had been gone a week because she bolted during a storm and had walked 8 miles and ended up at my home which is kind of believable. But then once she got to my house she had jumped our 4.5 foot fence and came through the doggie door without any of my dogs making a peep and was sitting calmly with the others.  I am not entirely sure my family believes my story to this day.

Funny story.  :)  Animals seem to have a way of knowing where they're welcome.  We've had dogs, and one cat, show up like that.  Even when dogs don't have their tage, usually the owner finds us eventually.  The neighbors point people towards our house when there's a lost dog in the neighborhood.
