No Phones to Ears While Driving...is Texting Better?

By
Real Estate Agent with Surterre Properties

OK, California law took effect on July 1st of this year that you can't drive while having a phone to your ear.

Can you have an ear piece? - yes.  Can you rig your phone thru your car audio system? - yes

Can you text message while you drive?  Yes yes yes...

Come on, texting and driving just don't mix and it is waaayyyy more dangerous that talking on the phone.

I heard that there is legislation making is way through that bans the use of cell phones in the car for texting...this makes more sense to me than banning holding the phone to your ear.

no question it's way too dangerous... I actually tried it a year or two...it's scary

Michael,

When do they ban playing the radio or CD player in the car or singing or talking to your passengers? These all are distractions. Maybe we should just ban driving. That should curtail car accidents.
