Henderson County Fair!!!

By

Most rural counties in West Tennessee still have a good old fashioned fair.  The whole bit...rides, ribbons for the best pies, cakes, jams, biscuits, and even the best looking cow or hog.

In the exhibit building at the fair, most businesses will have a booth with giveaways and contests. You must register to win and on the final night of the fair, all the winners are announced.  It's loads of fun and you see folks that only come out during fair week.

My question to you.....we are looking for a great idea for our fair booth.....a game to play, or anything new or creative to make our booth stand out in a midst of hundreds.  Let's hear them!!!!

Please join us in Lexington, TN. for the Henderson County Free Fair.  Lots of good food, fun, and prizes.

Hope to see you there!!!!  Opening Night, September 8th.

HI Linda,

Here's something that might work for your booth...Get a large clear punch bowl or fish bowl..in it put a much, much smaller bowl..also clear and fill it to the top with water.  Have a section of your booth filled with prizes donated by the agents.

Then have people come to your booth to drop a quarter.  IF their quarter lands in the smaller bowl they win a prize.  At the end, donate all quarters to a local charity.  Be sure to have signs saying the quarters will be donated as you will get more people participating that way.  You might have them fill out a small address card with a survey on it before they drop their quarter -- you need to have the winner names on file for IRS purposes, I would guess????     Also make sure children have a parent present to participate.

We did this at a fair and it kept a lot of people around our booth which of course kept more people coming to see what was going on.   Oh, this was in another life not for my appraisal business...LOL..
