Do One Thing

Sometimes, we feel we can't make a difference because of the enormity the challenge in front of us. This is true in our business lives, as well as the difference we can make in the world. I often tell my coaching clients to focus on just three things each day. Taking baby steps toward a goal still keeps momentum going in the right direction.

In this month's Body and Soul Magazine, I loved this article which was titled Do Just One Thing. It included the Great Going Green Checklist. Looking over the checklist and reading the article, I realized again how the little things can make a difference, especially when they become cumulative and exponential.

As I have been raising money for CARE this past year, I have been struck by the enormity of the need AND with the difference that even a small contribution can make. ($50 pays for a year of school for an Afghan girl!) The WebWomenGivingCircle was excited to be the giving circle that raised the most for the More Magazine Challenge last year. Six of us will be going to Peru in May to see CARE's work. Many of you helped that happen with your contributions and I am very grateful. We'll be taking pictures and letting you see how the money you sent is making a difference in the lives of others. A little can mean a LOT!!!

So, whether it is a business challenge, an exercise program, the environmental difference you can make or a philanthropical donation, remember little things make a difference. What little things can you implement this week???
