AR and the members involved

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

I am a newer agent and learning alot here at AR.  The information that everyone is posting is great.  I have had to pleasure of talking to Margaret Rome today.  She called me doing a follow up of her book that I ordered called REAL ESTATE THE ROME WAY.  She also took the time to go to my AR site and talked to me about some of the information that I needed to get me going here.

I have replied to some posts and got good information.  Everyone replied to me very fast.

Some of the agents in my area are sooo afraid of opening up and sharing ideas with each other ( marketing, lead generating ideas, giving so helpful advise) that you would think you are trying to get the CIA to give up Top Secret information.

Here at AR I am learning I can ask just about anything and be confident that you guys are willing to answer truthfully.

There is an AR folder on my desktop that you all have contributed to.  I go to that folder and like rereading the information.

The two questions that I am asking ALL of you is;

1. What is the best advice you can offer me ( and all the other newer agents in AR)?

2. How are you generating your Clients?

THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE.  AR is the greatest RE site and a very powerful tool for me

Margaret--I am very thankful that you called me, our conversation helped me alot.  Its great people like you that take us ' baby birds " under your wing to help us grow.   Thank you

Dale-- Taking care of your clients the way you want to be taken care of -- that is something more salespeople got to get back to doing, anymore I see alot of pushy salespeople.  We realtors are getting the rap just like a  Used Car salesperon "  To me that reputation is not good.

Steve

Getting on AR is one of the best things you can do because there is so much information here. Just don't make it your only go-to source.

NAR and REALTOR.org both have feature articles on a variety of topics. There are even marketing and sales presentation samples and kits you can review to finetune your own.

When I became a realtor, one the first books I read was 21 Things I Wish My Broker Had Told Me. It's an easy read, and full of good information with stories from successful realtors.

Some of the info may be considered old-fashioned today in the advent of marketing online, but sometimes, old-fashioned (which can also be high-touch and common sense) trumps technology.

Check out Amazon and get yourself a copy.

Good luck!

Hello Steve.  My advice for newer agents is to start making a good presence on AR.  You can do that by posting and using SEO terms.
