Agents Left Out in the Cold?

By
Real Estate Agent with Utah Select Realty, Inc.

The latest news in Utah Real Estate is the closing of All Pro Realty. It sounds like may agents heard it first on the news. Over time I had heard that things weren't in very good shape at All Pro even as long as a year ago. They closed down several branch offices, yet the news reported yesterday there were 600+ agents still with All Pro. What a mess. Agents on television talking about the commissions they are waiting for. Then there are all of the listings that were active begore this all happened. I'm feeling bad for so many who will be affected by this. Sellers, Buyers, Agents, loan officers etc. The reach of something like this is immeasurable.

Randy- That affected a lot of agent and like you said the buyers and sellers too. Hopefully, there are some safeguards put in place for the consumers as far as their listings and contracts go. Katerina

Sign of the very disturbing times, Randy. I hope for the best in the days ahead for our friends in our business making transition. My prayers are also for their families.

I really can't imagine waking up one day and finding out that my office had closed. It's such a lot of work and expense to change brokerages ... new printed material, new signs, etc.

This is even worse! So many agents out on the streets will be disruptive to the system...heavy change load at the board, heavy interviewing with better brokerage firms in town, etc.

It sounds like there was not a lot of communication between owners, brokers and agents. I expect that this will keep the Utah Division of Real Estate busy for the next couple of weeks.

Sounds like a mess, and I feel for everyone. This is not something that people could not seeing this coming for some time.

I hope the best for these people

That would not be a fun way would it. One of the comments on the news was "couldn't they have sent out one more email notification."

Nestor & Katarina

It should be interesting to see what pans out. Tonight they had another story on the news saying the Broker's son in law opened a new office today and sent invites to at least some of the agents from All Pro inviting them to sign on with him. I figure most of the brokers out there are going to have a crazy week.

David S.

I share the same sentiments for all involved. Hopefully it won't cause negative feelings for too many of the clients out there.

Vickie

You said it very well. That is a large amount of agents to move around at once.

John

I heard that there were many who were already looking for new brokers and were just waiting for the last commission checks.

Our thoughts and prayers goes out to all of them.

We are seeing many title companies closing their 4-7 offices and combining them into one in our area. Our Vancouver, WA. REMAX office went from 3 to 2 recently.

I'm one of those people that have been thinking proactively lately, and we have a stable office.   I'm beginning to switch all of my email addresses everywhere from the branded email to another source, and my phone number over to my cell phone.

I've heard of way too much of this happening lately and if the worst should ever happen I can go to another office the next day with less worry.
