Is technology in your world making you go a little nutso?

BlackberryIs technology in your world making you go a little nutso?

I'm as connected as the next REALTOR or techy out there with SmartPhones, Laptops and such. But the reliance on technology when it fails drives people's emotions out of control. Patience evaporates if technology gets in their way.

On this Active Rain network with some recent outages you would have thought some bloggers lost water, electric, heat and satellite TV to their homes. What a bunch of cry babies. I know a true addiction when I see one.

Checking emails on my iPhone next to a locker at a fitness center an older gentleman asked if I would get out of his way with the playing of my toy. Another "agitated" woman banged on my car window at a gas station when I took a couple of minutes to respond to an email on my Blackberry and wondered when I would be using the pump.

Geez. Can I get off this planet? I do admit that most of my latest frustrations have not been with the market, or with other people, but with technology getting me in trouble or taking from President Bush's latest escapades, I wanted to "throw a shoe at it."

Are you feeling the same "I'm wound up as tight as I can with this technology stuff lately?" I don't think this body or mind can go much faster. And this Twitter thing. Do we need to be connected "that fast" with micro blogging ALL the time?

What's YOUR take on technology? Are you hanging in there with it? Or do you want to head to that other planet where things might be going at a slower pace? I think the genie is out of the bottle. And if you haven't learned to text fast with your thumbs yet, you better get to practicing on it.

If not, I'm warming up the spaceship, and I'll save you a seat. Do you want to come along for the ride?

Well, I do admit to being addicted to AR, but right now Facebook and Twitter are just nuisances that I feel I need to learn.  We'll see.

I wouldn't mind a ride on your spaceship - can I bring my Ipod? ;-)

Gary, I guess I am an exception and I love all things technology. It is really fun for me and I am getting faster on my learning curve. I suppose if I didn't love it so much I would go back to Open Houses and floor calls. NOT.

The only time I get upset is with computer problems. I know the AR issues will get fixed so they don't bother me at all. I am not addicted to AR anymore. I use to be and I love it but over the addiction thing. I comment and post when I get a notion too but don't feel the need to be here 24/7.

We are all a little crazy-  texting or reading emails when driving is very dangerous.  Its really not worth it!

Gary, I loved your response to GDM. Way cool! I actually feel sorry for GDM, as they're not getting the opportunity to meet and enjoy all these wonderful people! And one of the nicest is yourself...I'm glad I blog here, and I'm glad I read your blog and all the comments on it, too. Happy Holidays, Gary.
