Twingly serves up the Top 100 Blogs written in English

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams West Sound Realty

In their latest e-mail installment, TechCrunch, the Internet watchdog, whistle blower, and soothsayer profiled about Twingly, the social blog search engine (similar to Technorati) that has recently launched BlogRank as a way to identify the 100 most important blogs in 12 different languages based on a proprietary ranking system.

As I scrolled down the list of the Top 100 ranked sites, I was pleased to find many that I already subscribe to and read consistently. They include:

TechCrunch     Mashable!     Scobleizer     ProBlogger     Seth's Blog     Chris Brogan     Guy Kawasaki     O'Reilly     CopyBlogger     Gaping Void

There is a tendency for many of our members to become somewhat isolated within the comforting confines of ActiveRain, and never venture out into the greater blogosphere, beyond the realm of real estate, and see a much larger, global picture.

I want encourage you to embark upon an adventure today - to journey outside your comfort zone, to step out into the vast reaches of the Blog Galaxy - and discover new blog frontiers! Begin to develop a strategic subscription list in your reader of the blogs you find of most value.

Expand your horizons, expand your mind, expand your success!

Rich,

cat stuck in a boxIt takes a lot for me to get out of the AR place! I'm not sure if I'm OCD or what?

There is just soooooo much good reading here.

I know I need to crawl out of my box and get around a little more but jeesh isn't it up to you to KEEP us here?

Should we feel abandoned? Pushed away? Shunned?

All I can say is that I'll try...

Holiday Hugs, Deb

Hi Rich~ You are right.  We should be well rounded and exposed to all kinds of blogs and information besides Active Rain.  But, I sure do love it here.  I guess I am just too comfortable and need to get out of my comfort zone ....I am going to subscribe and at least read Seth's ....

Rich, good information to encourage people here to get out of the rain ( sometimes) and hear what is going on in the blogosphere. There is a weath of information out there and not just in RE. Of course my feedreader is getting overwhelmed as I like to read I'm afraid I'll miss out on something.

Yet another reminder of how little I know even after almost 2 years of blogging faithfully, Rich.  Now I will go figure out how to implement your ideas into my already slammed real estate life...thanks!

Rich - you are so right and I am guilty!  Of the ones you mentioned, I have only read Seth's.  No, I don't get out much.  Thanks for the nudge in the right direction.

And Happy Birthday to you!  Can I say that here?  Or, is that spamming?  It is your birthday, isn't it?

Happy Birthday Rich!  From the date on this post it appears that YOU are actually enjoying your birthday and the holidays!  This is a great post for some but I am actually drowning in all of this new Social Techno stuff.  I need a little time to absorb and use it before I move on to another.  But about the B-Day mine is the 19th and I did a post  :-)  Social Media and Birthdays - Aren't they Great!

Which is what led me to your B-day via Sally and John!

Merry Christmas

Debbie

Rich, we started out with a couple of other sites and then landed at AR. Life got busy and so we are planning on getting more checking out other sites in 2009. Your never to old to learn new tricks. Hope you had a Happy Birthday and Scott and I wish you and your loved ones a wonderful holiday season with all of the joy and love that it brings.

Rich,

You just made my life a bit thornier as I'm grappling with that list of terrific blogs and trying to decide which few to start following. There are so many good ones.
