A Day of Silence In My Blogosphere..Why It's Important to Me! April 30th, 2007

By
Real Estate Agent with Better Homes Realty - BH Referral Associates

As I travel through the blogosphere I notice as time goes on I share more of myself, things and thoughts that might have been tucked away, things that I never thought I would have to face.  My heart and my mind are so open and like a sponge, I absorb what the writer is feeling.  Of course not on the same level but it is as if they are my extended family, I personally know them,  after-all, I read about them everyday.  Indeed they are my extended family.

In my mind the writing is so intense and incredible and the comments are just as compelling, you hope and pray that it's not true it's just a story and can't wait for the happy ending and it turns out to be reality.

Harsh Cold Reality, the kind we do not want to think too much about. Yes I know the media does a good job reporting it....or do they?

I have read many thought provoking posts right here that has truly inspired me and urges me to take action.

For all of you THANK YOU!

What we post is online forever.......Awareness is the key!  With 27, 527 members we are strong, we are loud and Powerful.

We can make a difference One Voice at a time!

My heart is heavy and my mind, well it's everywhere! For me I have to retreat.

April 30th I will join in with a day of silence.  No blogging, no reading and no commenting for me.

I will also be sure to respect this humble request for silence.  It's a small respect we can pay.

Midori,

I'm honored that you included my post on your list. Thank you.   I know what you mean by being open like  a sponge, absorbing it all.  We're touched by the words of people...real people from all over the country...we see things through their eyes. Things we might not have seen and felt but for this forum and their words.

Thank you Midori.

Christina-You are right.  For me its not just the loss for the Virginia Tech incident, I am paying my respects to many groups.  You are right this is the least we can do, for me this is the right thing to do.  Thanks for stopping by

Alex-Thank You, prayer helps and I appreciate it more than you will ever know.  Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Jeff-We agree, are you local and are you the same Jeff who responded to my past post.  What an appropriate phrase for such an important day.  Thank you and I appreciate the comments.

Monika-you are really something and I really appreciate your posts. You have found your voice to be stronger than ever.  I would have never read or knew about what was going on in your area if you didn't take the time and write.  I have to say thank you and please keep it going!  You truly do inspire me!

Christy-Yes, I agree that is why I put Jeff Turner's post in, something so simple and positive.  Also my feeling is it's just not about the one horrible tragedy there are several tragedies that goes on everyday and I agree I feel fortunate that I am able to still appreciate the little things.  I appreciate you stopping by!

Lysa-it's always easy to write about greatness.  You have to actually do it, to be great!  This post is nothing compared to what you have done!  Keep up the great work.  You are many people's angel......

Alecia-Yes, I think it is quite appropriate and its not just about one of the events it is all of them.  For me I need to mourn and then move forward.  While there is so much in the the world to be grateful for we need to work on what is very wrong.

Theresa-Your post summed it up and yes it did move me, it reminded me I am never alone.  Thank you so much for the compliment and for the kinds words.
