Yes, may miracles never cease! I closed on a transaction recently that went extremely smooth.
IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!
I know we all read enough examples in the 'Rain' of deals going sideways, falling apart, or blowing up in our faces. But I thought I would share one that was wonderfully pleasant and satisfying.
I had represented these clients previously in a 1st Time Home purchase. They were a really fun couple, both teachers here on the Kitsap Peninsula, and she was expecting their first child. We had a blast going out house hunting, and found just the perfect place. It was a really great starter home on acreage, and they got a great deal!
Fast forward a couple years later. Their first child turned out to be twin girls, and suddenly, they were maxed out for room. They had been talking to a neighbor of theirs who, unfortunately, was perilously close to foreclosure. The neighbor asked if they knew anyone who might be interested in buying their home. They told them, "Yes! We would!"
They called me, informed me of their situation, and asked if I could give them an idea what their house would sell for in today's market. A few days later, their home was active on the MLS.
Within a few days, we were under contract with a good, strong Buyer. The Buyer's Agent was a well-known and highly respected agent with another office here in town. The inspection went well, and only one item was called out for remedy/repair.
Communication from all parties was consistent and timely throughout the transaction. The Buyer's lender sent me e-mails during each phase of the process, just to keep me informed.
This past Monday the deal closed, and my Sellers were able to close simultaneously on their new home.
I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt appreciation to Carolee Vergeer of Silverdale Realty, and Betty Hugel of Golf Savings Bank, for making this such an enjoyable transaction, and enabling our clients to achieve their homebuying/selling goals.
Thank you Carolee and Betty!
