It ALWAYS has to be about THEM.....

There are people who would say that the practice of real estate is tough these days....let's say more challenging. The days are gone when if the buyer could "fog a mirror" they qualified for a mortgage....as well they should be.

Breathe on a mirror  For agents that could sit at their desks and wait for the phone to ring....and then when it did....the listing presentation was priced at whatever the homeowner chose for a price...That still happens.. maybe not as often....we hear it every time a homeowner calls having gotten a foreclosure notice...."But the agent who had our house listed said...." Was that about getting the listing or helping them actually price the house to sell ?

For loan officers who have decided that they have a 9-5 job Monday-Friday....don't be surprised if the phone stops ringing...Open Houses...People who also work 9-5 need someone they can count on when THEY have the time to talk.

   time clock

For all the agents who bemoan their plights of no commission when the buyers OR the sellers lost their jobs and they had to "lose the deal"....were you working WITH THEM or For Yourself ?

Every time an agent...a loan officer...a manager...an ANYONE who calls themself a professional in this industry makes it about anyone other than THEM, they cast a shadow of distrust, they help to tarnish the image....they weaken the industry.....As consumers...refuse to patronize these people....you deserve better. As professionals...examine your motivation....make it all about THEM.

Make no bones about it; 9-5 is certainly gone and the gravy train that rode out with it.

Sincerely
