Real Estate Auctions Around the Globe

By
Real Estate Services with AuctionFirst

Apparently the Czech Republic has a following for real estate auctions.  The link below is to an article today about Nazos - a real estate auction company that is doing online/internet auctions.  It will be interesting to see how many other eastern european countries gain momentum with auctions as the premier way to transact real estate deals.

Other countries I'm aware of that have a significant market share of auctions as the way for real estate transactions:
- Ireland
- England
- S. Africa
- Australia (our fellow AR Tony Fountain = real estate auctioneer)
- New Zealand
- China has an up & coming contingency of real estate auctioneers

The concept was relatively unknown 5 years ago - but there's been a tremendous shift in the market after great publicity on auctions hitting it out of the pack success!

I have a friend from New Zealand who was a realtor there. He says auctions were used in the past due to so much property being farm/ranch but now they switched over to traditional real estate sales because residential buyers do not like buying at auction.
