Get in the river.
It wasn't so long ago that the business of real estate was like a great river flowing by.
All you had to do was get close to the river and surely you could do some business.
Today however, some agents think that the river has all but dried up while other agents realize the river has simply moved.
If you are of the mind that the river has dried up, surely you will die of thirst and might already be making plans to go find another source of water.
If you can see that the river has simply moved then all you need to do is move and get back to the river again.
In just the few minutes that we have together now, I'd like to share three quick strategies to help you get into the river.
Lets begin by going over a brief outline of these strategies and then go into them in greater detail.
First Develop a Four Day Plan that you can stick with and stick with it.
Too many great laid plans are overly detailed and too cumbersome to even get started.
Great laid plans are like tall sailing ships. They require lots of wind to keep them moving.
Keep your Four Day Plan simple and easy.
I'll outline a Four Day Plan that is quick to set up and will bring you plenty of business now and you can begin immediately at the conclusion of this e-book.
Strategy Two Lead with the giving hand.Open the doors of your business and let folks come inside.
"Leading with the giving hand" isn't a give-away the pie and keep the crust business plan. Many new agents will do that wont they? They give away the pie, just to get the crust of business. It isn't too long before they have given away their business is it? I guess they get tired of eating crust while everyone else is eating pie.
Actually what happens is that they give away their momentum. They give away their advertising budget. They give away their office fees. They give away the gasoline, insurance and automobile expense required to show homes and visit clients. They give away their cell phone payment, nicer clothes, lunch with prospects and clients. They give away their education, relicense class time and clock hour expenses.
In fact they give away everything and anything else that they can no longer do because they gave away their commission pie. Established as a leader folks won't even ask you to give away your commission.
Leading with the giving hand is a great strategic way to open doors to more business without giving your business away.
The Third Strategy Use "One Great Arrow". It is not uncommon for agents to use a shotgun approach to business. The Shotgun approach causes many agents to spend far too much on marketing, advertising and self promotion.
One Great Arrow is a better, more efficient way to hit multiple target markets with little or no cost. With One Great Arrow you will be able to pick three, four, five or more target markets and hit them all using just one arrow. You won't be spending any money and you won't be spending all of your time shotgunning for business either. I'll share the One Great Arrow strategy with you too.
