Hey what are some of the bests in Chicago?  I want to hear your favorites.  Here are a few of mine:

1)  Superdawg - this is listed as one of the best hot dog places in the world.  In fact, it is listed in the book "1,000 places you have to visit in the world before you die."  Been around for a long time.

2)  Cheap Eats - Ronny's Steak House - Great little fast food kinda buffet right by the Daley Center...been around for years...

3)  Italian - Tufano's by Little Italy and UIC in Chicago.  Family style eating...the Chicago Blackhawks, Carole Burnette and Gene Hackman are regulars when their in town.

4)  Brazilian Steak House -  Fogo de Chao - Trendy chic, but all the meat you can eat.

5)  Breakfast - Lou Mitchell's - Just a little coffee house breakfst place....but voted number #1 breakfast place in Chicago.

6)  Le Creperie - By Clarke and Diversy - Crepes as meals?  You got it....one of best authentic french restaurants around.

7)  Japane (Japanay - sounds like) - Best sushi in the city.

8)  RL - Awesome upscale and trendy Ralph Lauren restaraunt on Michigan Avenue

9)  Bistro 110 - trendy american cuisine;

10)  Boston Blackies - excellent...I mean excellent burgers.

Larry - I always liked that Italian Restaurant, Magiano's in Oakbrook and Chicago.  I love Johnny D's in Elmwood Park, Gazebo Restaurant in Barrington, Lukes in Arlington Heights (North side of Arlington Heights)...If you go to Gazebo's give Adam a hug from me...

The breakfasts at Lou Mitchell's are awesome !!

The Village Tavern in Long Grove is a cute place...Auction night is always a fun night to go...Friday Night Fish Fry...

Is Superdawg that hotdog joint with the giant hotdog on top of the hotdog stand...one side is a guy hotdog and the other side is a girl hotdog?

Is the Piano Factory still in St. Charles?  If I can remember correctly it's an old factory that was converted to shops...

Don't forget about Italian Village downtown.  It's great!  Oh...and the Parthenon in Greek Town.  It's funny how you mentioned Super Dawg...I grew up on the North side of the city and that was always a once a month treat while I was growing up.  We love it so much that my husband and I went there for our 1 year anniversay (I was 9 months pregnant) and it was great!!!

Ha!  My son was taken to intensive care for a week up there.  On the way out he got a superdawg.  My wife is currently prenant with our 5th kid.  She too is craving superdawgs, but they're a good 45 minutes away....I haven't been forced to make the trip, but she's only 7 months pregant....now I know what's in store for me....thanks for sharing
