Of the 900+ Realtors in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area, very few have any kind of "web presence" in the community. Their websites are static and only provide information. They are not geared towards immediate feedback, drip email campaigns, links to related blogs, etc... In my short time as a Realtor, I have worked hard on having a web presence in my community, and it's finally starting to pay off. My little fifteen page website ranks first page for two key search phrases and in the top ten for the third search phrase. I've done this all by myself, and no doubt, Active Rain is a big part of this. I've received four leads from my website, and so far these leads have not gone through all the way, but that's not the point. The fact is I am getting leads, and eventually (it's a numbers game), some of these leads will pan out.
I'm also excited about a new blog I've started http://cedarrapidsrealestateblog.typepad.com/ The title of the weblog if Where is Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I want everyone who searches for anything Cedar Rapids to know that I am the expert in my community in everything Cedar Rapids, ( history, real estate, neighborhoods, etc...) I plan on interviewing people in the community and having podcasts also. I'm very excited about my future, and suffice it to say, things are slowly, and I mean very deliberately starting to turn around for the good.
What is your WEB PRESENCE in your community. Is your website static or dynamic?
