OK all you health nuts and dieters! Just move on to another blog, because this isn't for you!! I, too, have been rather health-conscious for the most part since my teen years until now (quickly approaching "the hill"...who says I have to go "over" though!) Now that I have a teenager and pre-teen, the food disappears rapidly and we are all three skinny! So, like my mother used to do, I keep a good supply of indulgent desserts to go along with the healthy food we eat at mealtimes!
Today was an unexpectedly COLD and RAINY day in the Houston area. Combine that with the fact that the M&M cookies are GONE and the Girl Scout cookies are down to 2, and I have the perfect excuse to turn on the oven and bake up a batch of brownies. So HOW does that boost your immune system? WELL, by warming up the oven, I am warming up the house...which makes me more comfortable, more relaxed. I also am in a happy mood when making something I know everyone will enjoy...thus boosting my endorphins! Thirdly, a sweet aroma filling the air (mmmm...smell those brownies baking) is therapeutic to everyone!! So, off I go...it's after FIVE...to bake a batch of homemade brownies!!
