The President of 1031 Alternatives Group, C. Grant Conness, began his career in the birthplace of Tenant In Common (Co-ownership of Real Estate) Industry in Southern California as the industry was in its infancy stages at the turn of the century. Since then, Mr. Conness has become a pioneer of 1031 Tenant In Common (TIC) exchanges in state of Florida and prides himself as being part of the wave that has brought this once West Coast phenomenon across the country. Mr. Conness has been influential in introducing and educating investors as well as the real estate community to 1031 Exchanges and TIC investments and has been instrumental in positioning these strategies as a more widely accepted and national mainstream practice.

During his tenure, Mr. Conness has been successful in assisting in the acquisition of over $100 million of institutional quality real estate on behalf of affluent real property owners and 1031 exchange investors throughout the U.S. He has become a regular feature in the Wall Street Journal as a resident expert on 1031 exchange Tenant In Common (TIC) investments and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).

In 2007, Mr. Conness was one of four registered representatives nationally nominated to the Tenant In Common Association’s (TICA) “A Champion of Excellence” (ACE) Awards. The ACE Awards recognize TICA members who exemplify the vision of TICA and its Code of Ethics. They are leaders in the industry that set their personal standards high, mentor others, push for industry improvement and volunteer their time for the benefit of the industry and members of TICA. Mr. Conness and 1031 Alternatives Group is committed to assisting clients achieve their goals and objectives by presenting them with innovative real estate investment solutions.
