Get to know Bridget McGee

My background is sales and marketing.  I have sold everything from commercial cleaning and presort mail to street sweepers.  Every company that I have worked for has been the best at what they do. I love to educate my clients to help them make the best decision for their big picture plans.  My goal has always been to help folks find the right fit for their needs, and to make the process an enjoyable one.

When you work with our Baltimore, Maryland office, you are working with an office with a heart that is family.  You might hear, “my manager, who is also my brother” as we discuss loan options, work to help you buy your home, or refinance your mortgage. Beyond our years in the mortgage business, educational backgrounds, and special skill sets, we are first and foremost a family, a team working together toward a similar goal.  A goal we share with you.  We want to help you to get the right loan, in a timely manner with little stress.

Key players.

Tony Demchak.  Tony has been in the mortgage business since 1996, a career he stumbled into after graduating from the University of Miami and nearly a decade working as an engineer.  That background in engineering makes him a natural numbers guy with the ability to help you qualify for the mortgage that will best meet your needs.  Tony also has an odd “fondness” for the guidelines - the rules and regulations used to qualify you for your loan.  In a market where rules are constantly changing, it’s good to have someone in your corner who works to make sure your loan is a “done deal” even before it goes to underwriting.

Bridget McGee.  Bridget is Tony’s younger (MUCH YOUNGER) sister.  Since rising to her current position, she’s become known as the Maryland Mortgage Mama, and she promises to take care of you like one of her own.  Bridget entered the mortgage business originally as a loan processor, working for her younger sister’s company more than a decade ago.  Prior to this, after graduating from the University of Delaware, she worked in outside sales, selling everything from mailing solutions for large companies to industrial sweepers for city streets.  Bridget now uses her people skills helping to guide folks through the mortgage loan process.  You might run across one of Bridget’s Active Rain posts while on the internet, where she is an avid blogger, or see her out in the community where she often pitches in and volunteers.  Bridget works primarily with people who were referred to her by past clients or one of her many real estate partners.  Once folks work with her they become RAVING fans!  The Maryland Mortgage Mama has been married to Billy, a military retiree, since 1996 and has two sons and a daughter.  Bridget and her family also sponsor two young girls at an orphanage in Africa through Mothers Fighting For Others.

The great majority of our business is by referral.  We have many customers that we have financed, refinanced and financed again at new homes. When you work with Tony and I you will find that we do what we say we will, we will go out of our way to ensure that folks don't get the wrong loan for them.  We have actually turned customers down because refinancing would not be in their best interest. 

Our loans get to the table with the same terms or better than discussed at application.  We attend every purchase closing, and almost every refinance closing.  Our goal is to educate the borrower and to make sure that they are informed during every step of the loan process.  We also contact our borrowers and, if a purchase, both the buyer's agent and the listing agent, on a regular basis to ensure open and on-going communication,  No one ever has to wonder what the heck is going on.

We have a fantastic team of professionals that we work with from title companies and appraisers, to home inspectors and insurance companies.  We have a client referral list for everything from landscaping to roofing.  We also work with life insurance providers and financial planners to assist our clients in their whole financial picture.  We don't want to close one loan and be done, we want to be your partner for your life! 

In this market where lenders are changing programs on a daily basis, we keep our clients informed. We strive to help clients that are FRUSTRATED by brokers that don't do what they say they will, CONCERNED about changes in the market and STRUGGLING to find the RIGHT loan for their situation.. 

We are not afraid of competition.  We are very competitive, more often then not beating other lenders, banks and even credit unions, and our service is Top Notch.   Our clients not only refer friends, but they become friends.  We will let a client know if they have the right loan, or if we can do better. We have even referred clients to other lenders that had programs that we could not offer because it was in their best interest.

Just this summer I have attended 2 client weddings.  I am guessing that most mortgage brokers do not make the cut when it comes to wedding invites.  It just goes to show you that when you treat people right, with honesty and integrity, you will do well!
