As a Broker, my model encouraged agents to open their own branch offices and brand themselves NOT my company, Dream Design Realty. I offered my agents a incredible commission split, they only paid $6000 annually in commission splits....yes you read that correctly!
I began my real estate brokerage by opening a brick-n-mortar office in 2005 and grew the company to a team of 36 Realtors. In 2007 I moved the company to a virtual operation and in 2009 I dissolved my real estate corporation to evolve my company once again. My goal in 2010 was to work with a very small team of realtors. Our focus was to build and grow our businesses primarily with social media. This model worked so well that I encouraged my agents to leave to open their own company, which they did late 2010 :)
At the same time I have moved away from brokering agents so that I can focus building online businesses, one of which provides online marketing, content strategy and lead generation for local Realtors. This is by far my most profitable model to-date.
