Malcolm Johnston Expertise

I am a real estate agent with Century 21 Lanthorn Real Estate in Trenton, Ontario.

I first started practicing real estate in 2009 with Remax Trent Valley in Trenton, but made the switch to Century 21 in 2011.

The internet has really changed the way that real estate is bought and sold in Ontario, and as such I work very hard to have a solid web presence in the immediate area and beyond. It's important to reach buyers in other areas as many people are retiring to the Quinte area and use the internet to view properties long before they talk to an agent in the area. It's also very important to maintain a high profile in the local print media so that when clients list a house with me they can be well assured that their property is getting the maximum exposure possible, both in the Quinte area and in the surrounding areas .

As well as every other website that every other agent uses to promote their listings (MLS, Quinte Real Estate Board, Company website, etc. etc.), here are some of the sites I have created to get my listings the maximum exposure. There are many more, but these are some of the main ones.

Century 21 Trenton  Quinte Real Estate  Trenton Real Estate Quinte Real Estate Blog  My Sun Media Blog Quinte MLS Statistics

Quinte Real Estate on Twitter Quinte Real Estate on Facebook Quinte Real Estate on Google+

Even though it would seem like the internet is an important place to be omnipresent, I also maintain a high local profile through my print advertising in the local publications such as The Contact and Real Estate Today.

I also occasionally write articles for some of the larger newspapers and news organizations across Canada and the U.S.A., although in truth, I don't write about real estate related matters, nor do I use those forums for commercial purposes.

As a registered agent with the Department of National Defence (D.N.D.) I am able to assist all military personnel with their transfers to and from C.F.B. Trenton. Every Canadian should be proud of our military, and I'm very happy to be able to play a small role in making life easier for members of our military.

I pride myself on being a well organized agent who can handle those military house hunting trips with military precision.

C.F.B. Trenton is an important part of the local landscape, both in terms of the people and the economy, and it's always great to be able to welcome new people to the area and find them the house where they are going to live and play in. It certainly helps that I have lived in this area since 1995 and I'm very familiar with the community. As a former business owner in Trenton I have a network of business owners who can support me and help me help my clients.

If you are being posted to C.F.B. Trenton, give me a call, I'm always very happy to help you with your needs.

Social Networks

Social Networks are a very important tool that real estate agents can use to market properties. Society has become very comfortable with these venues as a source for information, and as younger people acquire the wherewithall to purchase their first homes they are often influenced by what they see and hear on Facebook, Twitter and Google+.

All in all, I'm on over 30 different social networks, large and small, you never know where the next buyer for your home will first see it. If you are looking for an active agent who makes things happen, then pick up the phone and give me a call.
