Steve Hoffacker, CAPS, MCSP, MIRM, (http://stevehoffacker.com) is first and foremost a salesperson who understands selling and other salespeople. As such, he is an award-wiining and internationally prominent new home sales trainer and aging-in-place and universal design sales trainer and instructor. His books on new home sales and universal design have appeared several times on Amazon.com's best-seller lists.
He frequently is interviewed and consulted by national publications and appears at the International Builders' Show and the Southeast Builders Conference as a speaker and instructor on new home sales techniques, product design, aging-in-place, and accessibility. He has produced and taught courses on universal design for the Florida Contrator's Industry Licensing Board (CILB) and the University of Florida's County Extension Service.
As a long-time member and past National Director of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the National Sales and Marketing Council (NSMC), he received the "IRM President's Award" in 2007, the "Trina Ripley Excellence in Education Award" in 2008, and the "William 'Bill' Molster Award" in 2013 - all for excellence in new home sales education at the national level. He has received other sales achievement awards as well, including the "Million Dollar Circle."
He is a Charter Member and Life Director of the Gold Coast Builders Association and a Life Trustee of the Florida Sales & Marketing Council.
He is an approved instructor, and consistently one of the highest rated, for many of the NAHB's University of Housing courses, including universal design, remodeling, sales, marketing, and the "CAPS" and "CSP" designations.
