Jason: “So, what were the deciding factors that led you to build this home in Timbercreek?”

 

Seller: “We always wanted to build our dream and we came across a very unique floor plan, that seemed perfect for us and our growing family.   The home has plenty of space to accommodate our friends and family during the holidays and you could not ask for a better layout for entertaining.  The home is ideal for outdoor living, with the patio space and spacious pool decking area.  As for Timbercreek, we just loved the location and the attractiveness of the community.”

 

Jason: “What improvements have you made to the home over the years to improve its value?”

 

Seller: “We have not had to do much.   We were fortunate enough to be able to include all the great interior and exterior amenities you see during the construction process.  We have updated the appliances and added new tile in the kitchen.  We have also just recently had a tankless hot water system installed.”

 

Jason: “Why are you moving?”

 

Seller:  “My husband and I have recently divorced, my oldest boys are in college and it is just me and my youngest son living in this big home now.  It is just too big for us, so I am looking to downsize.”

 

Jason: “What are you going to miss most about this home when it sells!”

 

Seller: “I am going to miss the theater room most of all.  I love being able to watch movies with the kids and experience the big screen and the movie theater sound in the comfort of our home.  It is also wonderful for football parties!”

 

Jason: “What are you going to miss about life in Timbercreek and the surrounding Daphne/Spanish Fort area?”

 

Seller: “As I said, Timbercreek is in such a wonderful location, so close to Interstate 10 and the Eastern Shore Centre.  If you want to get a quick bite to eat, you simple need to cross Highway 181.  Timbercreek has also been good for my kids.  They have made great friends and I have never worried about them out alone, exploring the subdivision on their bikes.  The Spanish Fort School District is incredible and there a lot of community sports activities for kids.”

Jason: Why did you choose to build a home in Timbercreek?

Seller: When Timbercreek was developed we knew we wanted to build there.  After Phase V was opened (N. side of the blvd) we started looking for the perfect lot and found this one on the corner.  There is nothing else in Mobile or Baldwin county that has the appeal of Timbercreek.  And there is no other lot in Timbercreek quite like this one on the corner. 

Jason: What upgrades did you select at the time you built your home?

Seller: After selecting the corner lot then we started designing the house to perfectly fit the lot and had a draftsman draw the plans.  Our decorator was so talented and she urged us to go with hardwood flooring and split brick for the kitchen.  All windows and doors are well insulated.  I wanted structured wiring throughout the house to be able to do whatever I wanted with the audio/video/networking.  Gas for cooking/baking and outdoor grilling.  Multi-zone irrigation that covers every part of the property.

Jason: What features or updates have you added to the home over the past 11 years?

Seller: We have made very few changes since contruction was completed in 2000.  Only several lanscaping updates which include low voltage outdoor lighting and a slight kitchen expansion. 

Jason: What will you miss about your home, Timbercreek and the life on the Eastern Shore?

Seller: I am really going to miss spending time with friends and family in the kitchen.  We decided to extend the kitchen area, so that we could sit comfortably and enjoy a glass a wine after a nice home-cooked meal.  Sipping a nice warm cup of coffee in the morning and looking out over the beautiful golf course, is pretty hard to beat as well.  How could life be better?  A beautiful custom home with everything so convenient... golf, shopping, restaurants, Sams, Lowes.  I hope we can find something this good in Florida.
