Eagles Nest is one of the smaller subdivisions in Rockrimmon with just 46 homes built between 1993 and 1996. It is located just off the intersection of W. Rockrimmon Blvd. and Vindicator Dr. Eagles Nest is less than a mile from the sprawling Hewlett-Packard campus which is just one of several technology employers in the area. The technology companies can be found just a few miles south of Rockrimmon as well as extending to the north, with the FedEx campus being about the furthest, at 10 miles north on I-25. Eagles Nest is about 2 miles from I-25 and 4 miles from the south gate of the Air Force Academy. Right across Vindicator Dr. is a large shopping center which includes the Rockrimmon Library. Also just across Vindicator Dr. is Eagleview Middle School, a campus of the highly recognized Academy District 20. Foothills Elementary School is 1.5 miles away. And behind Eagleview Middle School is Ute Valley Park, 1705 Vindicator Dr. (parking lot on Vindicator just east of Centennial Blvd.).
