The Town of Cary will kickoff the holiday season December 4, 2010 with its annual Heart of the Holidays celebration. Throughout the day, events for children and adults will be held at various locations in Cary. Children can mail letters to Santa at Town Hall, go sledding at Bond Park, or make a gift for someone special at the Cary Teen Council's Santa's Workshop. Families may enjoy an old-fashioned Victorian Christmas celebration at Page-Walker Arts & History Center, complete with carriage rides around Town Hall, or a live performance of "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus" by the Cary Players. The Official Town of Cary Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and unveiling of the Community Christmas Tree will also take place, complete with a holiday variety show. Location & Rentals

 

The Bond Park Community Center is a 29,000 square foot facility nestled in the surroundings of Fred G. Bond Metro Park.  The center features 2 full size gymnasiums for athletic programs and 3 multipurpose rooms for meetings and classes.  The Bond Park Community Center hosts a variety of programs and camps.  There are locker rooms on site and all rooms are available for reservation.  Rental applications are accepted Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Fore more, visit Bond Park Community Center online.


Withdrawals & Refunds

 

Registration fees are 100% refundable when the department cancels the activity. A participant wishing to withdraw from a class that has not been cancelled by the department must provide a written request at least one week before the scheduled start of the class. They may receive 100% credit, valid for one year, to the family's account or may request a refund minus a minimum of $5 administrative fee per participant per class ($25 for summer camps). Credits that remain inactive for one year will be donated to PRCR's Relief for Recreation Scholarship Fund. Within the week prior to the scheduled start of a class, refund/credits will not be given except for verified medical/hardship cases. Refund for payments made by check cannot be processed for three weeks from the date payment was made.
