Energy Efficiency Hot Water Tank Across America an New Hampshire
Dale Baker, New Hampshire Relocation and Views Info Blog (Baker Energy Audits and Commercial Properties Inspections)

Energy Efficiency Hot Water Tank Across America an New Hampshire, folks have you ever wondered if a Hot Water Tank really does need a blanket wrapped around it, in-order for it to be Energy Efficient?

The myth: installing an extra Insulation Blanket on your Hot Water Tank save energy plus will keep money in your pock.

Hot Water Tank

Folks the fact: it might but you should check with the manufature of the tank first before adding a insulation blanket. The idea of adding extra insulation to a home's Hot Water Tank came about from the responses to the Energy crisis back in the 1970's. Back then hot water tanks sure were not much more than a steel tank with very little insulation. So it did make sense to add insulation to the hot water tanks of that time period.

Modern units of the last 18 years or so, have been built with optimal insulation levels for the most part. The potential saving is much less, if not gone completely. The fact is you very will might void the manufacture's warranty. So be sure to check the manufacturer's specifications and directions first.

Folks here's a money saven tip for you: the best and surest way to save money, if you are using an electric hot water tank, would be to install and use a timer to control your hot water tank. Folks you see by scheduling the heating only when its needed and turning it off when its not, you'll be able to cut down on the standby loses of energy that was being used.

Energy Efficiency Brick and Stone Homes Across America & New Hampshire
Dale Baker, New Hampshire Relocation and Views Info Blog (Baker Energy Audits and Commercial Properties Inspections)

Energy Efficiency Brick and Stone Homes Across America & New Hampshire, there are some many myths runing all aroung when it comes to some kinds of homes which have better Energy Efficiency than other. So folks has anyone toll you the following?

Myth: Brick and Stone Homes are more Energy Efficient than a typical Wood Frame Homes.Stone Veneer

Folks the fact is the vast majority of Brick and Stone Homes now a days are actually just a veneer over a wood frame. While more durable than other forms of exterior cladding they offer no efficiency advantage in terms of a home's energy use. For practical purposes the walls of a modern home clad in masonry have to be insulated the same as a frame building sided with wood or vinyl.

Timber Rattlers are an Endangered Snake Species here in New Hampshire
Dale Baker, New Hampshire Relocation and Views Info Blog (Baker Energy Audits and Commercial Properties Inspections)

Timber Rattlers are an Endangered Snake Species here in New Hampshire, I have had many folks ask me if there were Timber Rattlers here, because of the Mountains and Wooded areas here in New Hampshire. The folks which are planing on, looking at Relocating to the area or will be going to just visit the State of New Hampshire, you'll sure want to understand about the law to do with the Timber Rattlers. Will folks you sure don't want to get me worn at all, for I'm sure not at all a Venomous Snake lover. Reckon we need to look out for all Endangered Species, even the Timber Rattlers.

I will say this, as long as Timber Rattlers stays clear of me, I sure won't go Rattlerout of my way looking to mess with them. But if one dose end up going to strike at me, I will blow its head off with my 44 Six Shooter. I never go into the woods with out wearing at least one of my Six Shooters on my hip.

The one in my photo shot did live.

The Timber Rattler is a robust, Venomous Snake, the Timber Rattler is equipped with a broad triangular head, vertical pupils and heat sensitive pits. The body color can even be yellow, gray, dark brown or black, with dark, V-shaped cross-bands across the back. The pattern may not be obvious if the body is very dark. The head is usually unpatterned and is covered with many small scales. A distinct rattle on the end of a darkly colored tail produces a buzzing sound when vibrated. When young, the rattlesnake has only a small button on the tail. Body scales are strongly keeled and the light colored belly is flecked with dark spots.

Timber Rattlers are an Endangered Snake Species here in New Hampshire, how can you tell for sure it's a Timber Rattler ? Will folks the Timber Rattler is the only New Hampshire Snake which has a rattle on its tail. Many common snakes will shake their tails rep-idly, creating a rattle like sound. I've been told that folks have often confused the Timber Rattler with the Milk snake, Garter Snake, Northern Water Snake and the Black Racer.

Mating usually occurs in summer or fall. Females incubate eggs within their bodies by basking, and give birth the following year to 6-10 young from mid-August through September. The Female Rattler typically gives birth every two or three years.

Although rocky forested hill-sides with southern exposures are essential as winter habitat, The Timber Rattler prefer dense forests with a thick understory for foraging. They bask during the day and forage at night, when prey is most abundant. These here Rattlers prey on a variety of warm-blooded animals, including: Mice, Chipmunks, Squirrels, Rabbits, Shrews, Moles, Weasels and Birds. Occasionally a Timber Rattler will also feed on Insects, Amphibians and other Snakes. When threatened, they vibrate their tails to produce a loud buzzing sound that is difficult to miss. They are not particularly aggressive and bites are said to be rare here in the State of New Hampshire.

Timber Rattlers are an Endangered Snake Species here in New Hampshire, just what should you do if you do happen to come along a Timber Rattler? Will the New Hampshire Fish and Game say they want you to leave it alone and do not handle or harm it in anyway. They want folks to give them a call at 603-271-2461 or 603-271-3361. I'm not real sure what the New Hampshire Fish and Game will actually do when and after you call them. Most times Snakes don't wait around in the woods for someone to come from some where else to check them out.

Folks you do want to remember that its against the law to Harass or Kill a Timber Rattler here in the State of New Hampshire, seeing that they are listed as an Endangered Snake Species here.

Folks which would like to visit the New Hampshire Fish and Game Website here is a link to it, and I have set the link to open up into a new window for your convenience. http:www.wildlife.sate.nh.us
